Find Out What to Expect After Your Facelift

The 24-Hour Period
Stay in bed for the next 24 hours after your surgery. Expect to feel a great deal of discomfort. Swelling and headaches are normal, but make sure you stay off your feet. Take medication for the pain and lie down in your bed with your head elevated.

The Weeks After
Expect the swelling to increase in the coming days after. You can use an ice pack or cold compresses to help the swelling go down. Avoid all forms of physical exertion for the next 2-3 weeks. And try not to go under the sun for 8 weeks.

Though recovery after a facelift can be a painful process, remember that it’ll be all worth it! So, hang in there and be patient. You’ll be up and about in no time.
